for Macular Disease Foundation Australia - Health
MDFA's Peer Support Groups provide a safe and welcoming space for people living with aged-related macular degeneration to share their stories and ask questions of their peers. The Facilitator role is well suited to someone with good communications skills and confidence in public speaking. Ideally you will have experience facilitating a support group and/or demonstrate the ability to lead a balanced discussion. Personal experience with macular disease is desirable, not necessary.
Volunteers provide support to vulnerable community members accessing Emergency Relief by conducting face to face interviews with consumers who are presenting for assistance, and help facilitate access to material goods and vouchers, and referrals to other programs and agencies.

The focus of working in the Sorting Warehouse is to provide support to Hobart City Mission's volunteers working in the Retail Op Shops.
Are you passionate about recycling and helping people in need? We are looking for volunteers who can help educate the public as they make donations at our Sorting Warehouse. Sorting Warehouse Greeters are responsible for welcoming donors and other visitors as they approach the Sorting Warehouse in Brownells Lane and providing advice on donation suitability.
Hobart City Mission's Sorting Warehouse is the engine room for our Retail Op shops. Donated electrical items are sorted and sent out to stores for people to purchase, instead of sending them to landfill! Sold donations raise money to support Hobart's vulnerable community experiencing crisis.
This role will provide retail experience in a large furniture warehouse selling pre-loved furniture, electrical items and records.
