The GCH has a community garden that propagates, plants and grows a variety of garden plants, vegetables, herbs and flowers. The vegetables and herbs are used in our Community Kitchen or sold through our Op Shop, and the plants and flowers we seed and propagate are sold at low cost through our Community Plant Shop.

    The Gawler Community House relies on volunteers to develop and maintain its kitchen vegetable garden, fruit trees and Street Eats vegetable pots. The person we are looking for needs to have good knowledge of and a passion for growing vegetables and maintaining fruit trees. These are skilled volunteers who operate under the direction of the House Manager and Volunteer Coordinator.
