Be part of bringing our wonderful community together! The Mt Gravatt Community Centre is seeking a creative and crafty volunteer to facilitate and coordinate our established Crafternoons Craft Group! Community Crafternoons is about bringing our community together and supporting those feeling isolated to connect to other locals whilst learning a new skill. This is a great opportunity to give back to the community whilst having fun and sharing your creative wisdom!

The refugee and migrant sewing class aim to provide participants with instruction, support and basic knowledge in the art of sewing. The Women’s Power of Inspiration will provide a supportive and safe environment for the group, enabling each participant to build on it. A volunteer with experience in art/Craft or gifted and intermediate in sewing machine and over locker use, mending and alterations of clothing and use of patterns for making new clothing items is exceptionally desired and welcome

A successful candidate will support the general manager in all marketing projects required for the communities which the organisation works with. This will primarily be for advertising and communicating messages to those in need. Our mission is to facilitate the prevention of obesity and chronic diseases. Additionally, we have a strong focus towards improve mental health and wellbeing.
