The Hyland House Respite Centre in Petrie is currently looking for volunteers to assist in our various activities with older persons and people with a disability, including playing table games, arts and crafts, going on outings, sharing stories, cooking, or sharing your talents - there is something for everyone!

The refugee and migrant sewing class aim to provide participants with instruction, support and basic knowledge in the art of sewing. The Women’s Power of Inspiration will provide a supportive and safe environment for the group, enabling each participant to build on it. A volunteer with experience in art/Craft or gifted and intermediate in sewing machine and over locker use, mending and alterations of clothing and use of patterns for making new clothing items is exceptionally desired and welcome
