Do you have a dog or pet that is suitable to come with you to our Aged Care home and share some social interaction with our residents? Our residents living at our Wayville Aged Care Home really miss the family pets they had in their family homes. Animals bring great joy to others hearts and the social chit chat and a pat bring smiles and fill hearts. All volunteers must have up to date Influenza vaccinations, the Covid-19 vaccinations and a Police clearance to work in Aged Care.

ECH is looking for some 2 legged (human) volunteers to assist in their Day Programs together with their good natured and well trained pets to visit clients. ECH Day Programs are designed to cater for people who may be experiencing dementia or memory loss to engage in a range of social activities. Dogs are popular but other pets are welcome too if they are healthy, confident with strangers, never timid and well mannered.

Joining the Coast Guard is a great way to learn new skills, get out on the water, make new friends and serve your community. It can be a welcome change from your normal life and extremely rewarding. Assisting in search and rescue, emergency responses with the police, ambulance, joint operations, marine assist and public awareness are just a few of the jobs we do every day.

Monitor Government allocated emergency frequencies on CB radio and referral to appropriate emergency service. Attend required triathlons.
