Every 17 seconds, The Salvation Army helps someone at one of our services or programs. By volunteering in this year’s Red Shield Appeal, you can make a real difference to those experiencing hardship and injustice.

A Warehouse Assistant supports the organisation by overseeing operational duties in the remit of ‘transport and logistics’. This could mean scanning materials as they arrive or leave the warehouse to maintain stock level records, moving items around from point A to B. Just assisting with the day-to-day running of a storage or logistics warehouse.

Warehouse food sorters needed! We need people to sort food to help the local community get the best possible food relief there is! We receive food that would otherwise go to landfill and sort it into fresh produce crates and deliver it out to local communities throughout Adelaide.

The WestCare Centre provides a free breakfast and low cost lunch to anyone needing a helping hand. Hundreds of South Australian's visit our WestCare Centre for food, shelter, support and advocacy. We provide a safe space for people experiencing homelessness to sit, chat, and share a meal with other community members. Volunteering in the kitchen allows you to learn food preparation skills, work as a team, and give back to those who need it most!

The Community Food Hub provides low cost essentials to individuals with a concession card, student card or ImmiCard. This includes pensioners, students and people experiencing homelessness. Volunteering in the Food Hub allows you to learn retail skills, work as a team, and give back to those who need it most!

Love being out on the road and having a few laughs? Are you keen to be part of a dynamic duo collecting and delivering stock to our Op Shops and customers? If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, join us as a Delivery Buddy! As a Delivery Buddy, you will work alongside our Delivery Driver to ensure stock is delivered safely and efficiently.

We are looking for a Grant Writing Guru with experience to seek out and then submit for community grants to help our grass roots committees do what they are best at - helping the elderly, families in need, the homeless of our communities. Got a couple of hours a week and a desire to support - we would love to hear from you!

Help our community garden reach more people through Facebook and internet to grow our brand. This in turn will increase our grant funding success so we can grow more vegetables, fruit and herbs to increase food security by feeding our community.
