Calvary Flora McDonald is seeking volunteers who have a passion for improving the lives of elderly people living in residential aged care, and can experience social isolation. If you enjoy chatting and generally engaging socially with people we would like to chat with you. During your visit we are requiring you to assist our Chef's and Kitchen staff with helping prepare menu selections for residents’ meals.

Do you like a busy environment, where social interaction is paramount? Calvary Flora McDonald is seeking people, who have an interest in making a difference in the lives of those living in residential care, to volunteer in our kitchenettes, and assist in serving morning tea and lunches to our residents. This position is ideal for people with a cheerful disposition and empathy for healthy ageing.

Do you enjoy pottering in the garden? We need your assistance! Calvary Flora McDonald is seeking volunteers who would enjoy spending time with residents in our gardens and courtyards. If you enjoy the outdoors, chatting, and generally engaging socially with people we would like to chat with you.

Are you a person who enjoys variety and a chat along the way? Our Laundry staff need your assistance! Calvary Flora McDonald is seeking volunteers who can lessen the social isolation some residents feel in aged care, by delivering laundered clothing and having a chat with the residents. The role may also involve labelling clothing, but there is no sewing involved!

If you enjoy talking to elderly members of our community and you have some spare time, we would love to hear from you. Perhaps you speak Italian, or you would like to practise what you are learning.

Some of our elders at our Wayville home really wish to re-ignite their passion for music and in particular being part of a weekly choir. Do you have a few spare hours to visit once a week and get a choir group running enjoying the love of music?
