About Australian Relief Organisation

Established on Aug 2012, Australian Relief Organisation or the ARO is a not for profit (NFP) and non government organisation (NGO) that is involved in the development, relief, and advocacy activities for a better world.

Registered and regulated by the ACNC (Australian Charities and not for Profits Commission) as a Charity and a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), our organisation is also a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) endorsed by the ATO (Australian Taxation Office).

In the national context, we work towards;
- Social Inclusion Services – Visits to Hospitals, Aged Care Centres, Rehabilitation Centres, Correctional Facilities and Detention Centres
- Mentoring Programs – Safeguarding (the children, youth and adults) from the use of illegal substances, drugs, abuse of alcohol, gambling and bodily self-harm
- Child Protection Programs – Safe guarding children from all types of abuse and neglect
- Orphaned Children and Family Sponsorships – Providing assistance to orphans and families in financial hardship
- Foster Care – Seeking foster carers for children who need short or long term care
- Emergency Drop In Support Service – (In home or Community Based) Care for the Elderly, Frail, Aged and Children with various disabilities
- Migrant and Asylum Seeker Support- Assisting migrants and asylum seekers by skills training activities and workshops
- Clothing Aid – Collection, distribution and discounted sales of new and second hand clothing to the needy
- Charity Shop - Sale of charitable merchandise at our headquarters to raise funds for our activities
- Emergency Relief – providing monetary assistance for those affected by natural disasters.

In the international context, we work towards;
- Long Term Development Activities – Establishment of Orphanages, Schools, Hospitals, Aged Care Centres and Water Wells
- Sponsorships –Orphans, students and families in need
- Medical Operation Sponsorships – Providing financial support for medical operations overseas (incl cataract operations in Africa)
- Emergency Relief – providing assistance for those affected by natural disasters, wars and regional conflicts
- Clothing Aid – Distribution of new and second hand clothing to the needy overseas
- Qurban Appeal – Meat donations to various African and Asian countries
- Ramadan Appeal – Dinner and food pack donations overseas
- Zakat,Sadaqa,Fitr Donations – Alms to poor overseas
