About St Lucy's School

St Lucy’s is a primary and high school for children with disabilities located in Wahroonga on Sydney’s North Shore. We specialise in a wide range of disabilities including mild to severe intellectual disability, autism and sensory impairments.

Each day, St Lucy’s relies on a number of volunteers to help us deliver our leading education to children with disabilities. From helping out in the classroom by assisting with our reading and maths programs, helping at our working bees, assisting with our after school co-curricular programs, we welcome you at St Lucy’s as part of our amazing community.

Key information about volunteering:
• Volunteers do not need a teaching background – all volunteers receive induction and training
• Two hours is the minimum time frame to volunteer.
• Volunteering is between Monday to Friday 8am to 2pm and 3.30pm – 5pm (for afterschool activities)
• Our main campus is located in Wahroonga, but we also have opportunities at our satellite locations at Narraweena and Narrabeen
• You will be required to have a Working with Children Check
