1st Malvern Scout Group

Scouting is a worldwide movement that shapes the development of youth and adults through a strong and active program that inspires young people to do their best and to always be prepared.

Outdoor and adventurous activities comprise an important part of the Scouting program. Camping, hiking, abseiling, caving, horseback riding, rock climbing and diving are just a few of the exciting experiences that Scouting offers both youth members and their adult leaders.

Youth development is achieved through a program of progressive self-education, which incorporates a number of principles including learning by doing, a diverse program that encourages participation facilitated by an award scheme, and a self-governing group structure that increases with maturity.

1st Malvern runs an active weekly program for girls and boys aged 6-26 years. This program may include games, craft activities, cooking, plays and skits, instructional sessions, preparing for outdoor activities, presentations, and meetings. Weekends sometimes find us camping in the great outdoors.
