We are looking for Arabic or Rohingya speaking volunteers to provide language support to adult migrants and refugees attending our monthly Women’s Group in Zillmere. Volunteers play an important role in creating welcome, inclusion and belonging.

MiCare is looking for committed and enthusiastic people to volunteer in our Family Learning Clubs in Werribee and Laverton. The program aims to assist newly arrived young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds with their school work, basic literacy and numeracy skills. Must be over 18 years of age.

We need drivers to collect prepacked boxes of fruit and veg. You don't need to do every week, you will be a part of a team and can do weekly/fortnightly or monthly. At CARAD, we provide our clients with fresh fruit and vegetables on a weekly basis. Our clients are Asylum Seekers, who do not receive Centrelink, Medicare or any support from elsewhere. Through the Second Bite program, our Pantry provides food security for the most vulnerable people in our community.

Centacare FNQ is the lead provider of multicultural services in Far North Queensland. We have been delivering programs that promote a safe, welcoming and supportive space for newly arrived refugee and migrant communities, as well as those seeking asylum for over a decade. We are in need of volunteers who have basic skills as a Carpenter and is willing to pass on the knowledge to refugee and migrant communities to up skill them and help them into employment. Volunteers need to be vaccinated.

Through supervised driving sessions with a Volunteer Driving Mentor, Learner drivers of refugee background have the opportunity to work towards completing their 75 hours of driving experience and gaining their P Plates. Volunteering in the program is a valuable way you can help learner drivers reach this life-changing goal.

Conversational English for Beginners is an engaging session to help adults with limited knowledge of how to speak English and develop their English language skills. The role involves leading a series of sessions teaching conversational English to adults. This is an unpaid position on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings during school terms.
