for Candlebark Community Nursery - Environment & Conservation
Join the team at Candlebark Community Nursery selling local native plants to enhance biodiversity and wildlife habitat in our area.
Want hands-on work that actually helps the environment? We grow local native (indigenous) plants from seed or cuttings for revegetation projects or local gardens. Our retail area is open to the public for plant sales. More indigenous plants in gardens and larger revegetation projects provide habitat for native animals, birds and insects, and reduce species loss. We rely on volunteers but lockdowns hit us hard. Please help us get back to the thriving nursery from before the pandemic!
for Bungalook Indigenous Native Nursery - Environment & Conservation
We take all volunteers, young and old. You can either use your existing Sales, Management or other skills or we can teach you some new ones. We provide low-cost local native plants to the public and park organisations. We hope that by encouraging the planting of local native plants this will increase the biodiversity & climate resilience of the Whitehorse area.

What is the Castlemaine Repair Cafe? Castlemaine Repair Cafe volunteers help members of the community to troubleshoot, replace, darn, patch, restore, rebuild and learn to repair, everyday items that might otherwise end up in landfill.
Sorry about that. We'll get a mechanic right onto it.
