We have positions available for people who are interested in becoming a Volunteer Firefighter. There is no cost for the volunteer other than some of your time. Training is provided for all new Volunteers. Belmont/Victoria Park SES is currently recruiting and is holding induction night on the 20th and 27th April 2024. We are a dedicated and friendly team who are currently seeking new members from the local area to join our team. SES provides a wide range of services to help cope with the effects of natural disasters - from emergency repairs on houses and building buildings, to restoration of essential services.

Helping in natural and man-made emergencies. Undertake roles such as: - cyclone and flood response - land search and rescue - air search observation - cliff/cave rescue - storm damage relief - communications - management of Emergency Coordination Centre Training is Wednesday evenings at the Unit on Hamilton St from 7.00pm to around 9.30pm. No training on the 2nd Wednesday of the month as there is a committee meeting. Volunteers need to wear boots and protective clothing while on probation

Are you interested in clinical and community based volunteer work? Are you over the age of 18 & physically fit? Volunteer with your local sub-centre as a Volunteer Ambulance Officer. Attend emergency and non-emergency ambulance calls as well as other duties as required. Commitment is approx 60 hours annually, based on 1 shift plus training per month. To continue to operate in your role, you must maintain the competencies required & appropriate level of fitness as roles are physically demanding.
