The Volunteers Hub at Diamond Valley Community Support is advertising this volunteer role on behalf of Lower Plenty Dance Group, a small not-for-profit volunteer organization running live and online weekly dance for people with intellectual disabilities. The Committee meets every second month on the 3rd Thursday for approx 2 hours to manage the dance group affairs.

This exciting volunteer role ticks all of the boxes for an enthusiastic and experienced person with a marketing background.

Community Visitors uphold the Human Rights of people living in supported care. They visit accommodation facilities and monitor and report on the adequacy of services provided. This role is ideally suited to individuals who are able to visit during day-time hours or late afternoons and who can make a commitment of two years. Training will be provided to support you in the role.

Reading newspapers/magazine articles, books etc., on air for people with print disabilities.
