The Rockingham Visitor Centre is comprised of a handful of dedicated volunteers who provide advice and information on the best attractions, accommodation, places to eat and upcoming events in the area.

The purpose of the Regional Visitor Ambassador is to promote the region and all of its attractions (including the Whale Centre), providing recommendations, advice and assistance to visitors and the community. These recommendations might include things to do, attractions, accommodation and events. Volunteers are key ambassadors for Victor Harbor and Fleurieu Peninsula.

Responsibilities may include connecting with volunteers and scheduling their availability, responding to inquiries, and providing general office support, assist with pop-up information stores in shopping centre. Your contribution will play a vital role in helping us achieve our mission.

The role of a visitor servicing /tourism volunteer is to provide as much assistance and information to the visitors in a non biased way, so they can make an informed decision. Be ambassadors for the region, and offer good Customer Service. Provide non biased information, Telephone, email, and face to face enquiries and customer service, referral service for accommodation, referral service for local business. Selling merchandise. Visitor Servicing at local events.

Are you interested in welcoming visitors to the beautiful Botanic Gardens and providing directions and information. The Centre is open each day from 10 am - 2 pm. Visitors also purchase plants and merchandise and attend events in the Gardens. You will be required to undertake retail sales of merchandise and learn point of sale duties. Join the dedicated team and meet new friends. The Centre is open 7 days. Day/s can be negotiated. (C)

The purpose of this role is to bring a unique and positive perspective of the Central Coast, enhancing the Visitors' experience by providing knowledgeable and unbiased information to visitors and the local community. ***To be referred to this role an interview with Volunteering Central Coast is required. The Fleurieu Coast Visitor Centre is staffed by a dedicated and enthusiastic band of volunteers. We welcome all inquiries about volunteering and encourage you to join in an experience that people find rewarding, challenging, interesting and enjoyable.

Your interest in gardens and horticulture, enthusiasm for all things environmental and love of informing others will be greatly valued in this role. You'll be asked to guide, inform and educate visitors, including groups from schools and other educational institutions, and to assist with other educational activities. Tours and activities will be scheduled in consultation with you. This role requires a current Criminal Record check and would prefer to also have Working with Children Check.
