Playgroup volunteers connect children, families, and communities through the joy of play!

Volunteers will assist the STEPS Pathways College trainers with our Boarding College students in and outside of the classroom, by providing guidance, mentoring, additional explanations, and support. As a STEPS volunteer, you will have the opportunity to assist in a professional and fun environment and feel rewarded by the positive social impact you are helping to create.

We are run by a dedicated and passionate volunteer committee and member volunteers. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to weekly or fortnightly shifts on Saturday mornings between 10am - 1pm. This could be for the full 3 hours or just a couple of hours.

Volunteers will assist the STEPS Pathways College trainers with the delivery of learning activities by providing guidance, mentoring, additional explanations, and support to the students. Learning activities for independent living include – communication, healthy living, home maintenance, community connection, social engagement, employment, tenancy, healthy relationships, building friendships, and numeracy and literacy skills.

STEPS Café Volunteers will assist students with disability in a hospitality environment to learn essential skills for employment such as food handling, customer service, money handling and more.
