Volunteers helping students thrive - Warnbro Bike Program

Education & Training Regular - more than 6 months Warnbro WA

About this opportunity

Warnbro Community High School Education Support Centre is a highly recognised Independent Public School for students with intellectual disabilities or disabilities in the presence of high educational needs, co-located with Warnbro Community High School.

The centre offers unique and innovative programs, and high-quality teaching, while nurturing students to flourish and become their best self, academically, emotionally, and socially.

EdConnect Australia is working with the centre to recruit volunteers for their Bike Program.

The bike program aims to build confidence and provide a sense of achievement as they re-build a push bike. Knowledge of push bike repair and maintenance is needed. Students will also be supported by school staff.

EdConnect’s training will help prepare you for your volunteer role. EdConnect’s team is here to help make sure your EdConnect volunteering is rewarding, impactful and memorable. During the year, EdConnect’s ConnectEd initiatives provide online and in-person events to attend, from local coffee catch-ups, refresher training and workshops to more formal functions - all a great way to connect with like-minded people, changing lives like you, with other students in other schools.
