Vinnies Tailem Bend is a great local shop with a friendly volunteer team. If you have a genuine desire to help others we would love to hear from you.
Vinnies volunteers do a variety of work including the following.
- Pick up and delivery of furniture and stock (current drivers licence essential)
- Moving furniture and stock
- Stock preparation – sorting, cleaning, steaming and pricing
- Store housekeeping – tidying, dusting, and cleaning
- General shop duties
Skills and attributes
- Physically fit and able
- Desire and ability to learn
- A willingness to follow policies, procedures and instructions
- The ability to work well in a team environment
- A friendly and compassionate personality
- Ability to listen and respond courteously
- Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy
- Have sensitivity to the values of people of other faiths, cultures and lifestyles
- Undertake training as required
- Driver’s licence is desirable
- Minimum age 15 years
All Vinnies volunteers (minimum age 15 years) require a National Police Clearance prior to commencing. Note: This is at no cost to you.

* As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Voluntary Workers Personal Accident Insurance).
* Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
Saturdays 10 am - 2 pm (priority) Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 9.30 am - 5 pm
