Creative Lifestyle Volunteer

Seniors & Aged Care Regular - less than 6 months Tallebudgera QLD

About this opportunity

St Andrew's are looking for someone who enjoys spending time with people and can work in line with our values of joy, hope and respect in a person centred manner. As a Creative Lifestyle Volunteer you will have the opportunity to be involved in a range of creative activities and events. There are opportunities to support art and craft sessions, music and poetry or gardening. You might like to help residents attend activities and participate or you may even want to learn how to facilitate an activity. We are always open to new ideas and special projects so bring your special skills and interests and let’s see how we can make them into a great activity for our residents! A willingness to get involved, compassion, respect for the ideals of person-centred care and a positive attitude are essential to the role. This is an amazing volunteer role where you will have the privilege of working alongside residents and staff to bring joy to people's lives and the whole service. There are lots of opportunities in this role for people looking to develop their skills working one on one with vulnerable populations, group facilitation, program designing, event management and much more.
