Truck Jockey

About this opportunity

We are seeking active Volunteers to assist the truck driver with the collection of donated goods from pick up destinations to delivery point, also to assist with lifting and moving furniture, keeping warehouse and storage rooms tidy and safe. Adhere to OH&S requirements at all times.

HomeStart Program is a recycled and pre-loved furniture centre which assists people in the community who are in need of household furniture. The Store is staffed by people with disabilities and represents a great opportunity for our volunteers to gain practical work experience in the retail sector.

Covid-19 vaccination . Heavy Lifting . National Police Certificate *. Others . Working with Children Check *.

Physically fit with good communication skills at all times, ability to work in a diverse environment, adhere to all regulations and requirements regarding the current OH&S act, policies and procedures.

- Working with Children’s Check
