About this opportunity
Foster Carers to take care of a Dog or Cat in their own home until such time as the animal can be rehomed in its forever home. Carers are asked to give lots of TLC and to handle the animal in order to prepare them for their new home. This is a very rewarding position as you see the animal become more and more friendly and less stressed. They become more affectionate and friendly. Animals may stay with you for a short or longer time depending on the number of forever homes sought from the general public. SAFE can provide most of the food and bedding requirements for the fostered pet, including any Vet needs.
SAFE will interview and assess the home of the applicants to ensure that they are able to care for the animals in a safe and welcoming environment. This also enables them to match carers appropriately with the dogs and cats they need to foster out.
