Foster Carer for Dogs and Cats
About this opportunity
If you love animals this may just be the role for you! Foster Carers are needed to take care of a dog or cat in their own home until such time as the animal can be re-homed to its forever home. Carers are asked to give lots of TLC and to handle the animal in order to prepare them for their new home.
This is a very rewarding position as you see the animal become friendlier and less stressed. Animals may stay with you for a short or longer time depending on the number of forever homes sought from the general public. SAFE can provide most of the food and bedding requirements for the fostered pet, as well as cover any veterinary needs.
Additional requirements
SAFE will interview and assess the home of the applicants to ensure that they are able to care for the animals in a safe and welcoming environment. This also enables them to match carers appropriately with the dogs and cats they need to foster out.
This can be for a long or a short time.
