Social Support Volunteer Blue Mountains
About this opportunity
Would you like to make a difference to a lonely older person's life? Are you a caring and compassionate person who can spare a couple of hours each week or fortnight? Springwood Neighbourhood Centre is looking for new volunteers living in the Blue Mountains. Our social support volunteers visit older people in their own homes or take them out shopping or for a cafe visit. Being a social support volunteer is extremely rewarding and a way to make a valuable contribution to the community. We service the suburbs of Springwood, Winmalee, Faulconbridge, Linden, Valley Heights and Yellow Rock. Additional requirements
Covid-19 vaccination . National Police Certificate *.
All our volunteers undergo a Police Check (paid for by Springwood Neighbourhood Centre) and receive orientation and training. All volunteers must have had two COVID-19 vaccinations.
2-3 hours per week or fortnight
