About the role

The purpose of this role is to support a broad range of digital communications. This may include coordinating content across social media platforms, preparing information for print media, organising photography or images, and short video projects.

Team collaboration is key, but your motivation as an individual is valued. Bring your skills in editing, proofreading, and using Excel for monitoring and reporting.

Your attention to detail and dedication will contribute to our impactful advocacy efforts. This volunteer opportunity is a chance to grow your skills while supporting a cause you believe in. Reporting to Community Advocacy Lead, this position is based in our Erina Office.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Participate in team meetings and work to deadlines.
  • Work with community teams to source and develop story content related to impact.
  • Ensure that all communications are aligned with CCNSW branding and relevant policy
  • Working with volunteers and staff members, develop content that is clear and concise capturing the accuracy of the story
  • Maintain a high level of written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail with all content
  • Willingness to learn and broaden skillset.

Our Ideal volunteer will have:

  • An interest in storytelling, marketing and the not-for-profit sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work others positively and respectfully.
  • Experience in using Canva for development of content.
  • High level computer literacy in Microsoft Office and using online platforms. 
  • Willingness to participate in training and use CCNSW systems relevant for your position.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively individually and as a part of a team.
