Hollywood Hospital is seeking compassionate volunteers to join our Meal Delivery Team as a Food Friends Volunteers. In this rewarding role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring our patients receive their meals efficiently and with a smile. What you'll do:

• Assist staff in delivering meals from the cart to patients' rooms.
• Briefly chat with patients and inquire about their dietary needs and preferences.
• Help patients open containers and ensure they have everything they need.
• Report any concerns about patient well-being to the nursing staff.
• Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor, brightening patients' day.
• Who you are:
  • Reliable and available for approximately 4 hours a week.
  • Compassionate and enjoy interacting with people from all walks of life.
  • Energetic and able to navigate the hospital environment.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Committed to patient care and creating a positive experience.

Additional requirements

National Police Certificate ^*. Others . Working with Children Check ^*.

Hand Hygiene Online Learning, Dementia Online Learning

Time Required

One shift of 4 hours a week - 10am-2pm or 11am-3pm Monday - Friday

Reimbursement

Volunteers are provided with parking, lunch and a uniform.
