Every 17 seconds, The Salvation Army helps someone at one of our services or programs. By volunteering in this year’s Red Shield Appeal, you can make a real difference to those experiencing hardship and injustice.

Through a network of support services and programs across Australia, we assist one person every 17 seconds, and your gift of volunteering this Red Shield Appeal will enable us to provide specialised care to meet specific needs. Together, we can ensure no one is left in need.

We’re looking for volunteers to step out in the local community Ballarat to help us raise vital funds for our services. These funds will allow us to continue transforming the lives of vulnerable people across Australia.

We require passionate & friendly volunteers to help The Salvos raise much needed funds. Community fundraising at shopping centres involves collecting donations while sitting at one place, you may be required to use an Eftpos machine. Intersection collecting involves engaging with motorists at intersections encouraging them to donate, you must have some level of fitness as there is lots of walking involved. Volunteers gain a sense of fulfillment by contributing and making a positive impact on the community.

Position:

Community Collections (static collection spots) Intersection collectors

Time Commitment:

May 18 - June 16 Between 9am- 5pm (2-3 hour shifts)

Other information:

Chairs will be provided for community collection sites.
Intersection collectors must be 16yrs and over and have adequate fitness level to stand and walk for 2-3hr shifts
