About this opportunity
The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Orygen Assist.
Orygen Assist is our volunteer-run program that provides access to essential items for young people experiencing mental ill-health and their families including non-perishable food, clothing, and hygiene products. This is made possible by our charity partners Foodbank Victoria, Thread Together and Pinchapoo who supply these items.
Our volunteers operate a drop-in shop at our Parkville site on Mondays, Wednesdays (1pm-4pm) and Fridays (10am-1pm), as well as an online ordering and deliveries service across the Orygen sites for clinicians and staff on behalf of their young people and families.
We are looking to expand opening hours to open on Tuesdays and Thursdays (10am-1pm or 1pm-4pm) initially and then extend opening hours to Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm.
Additional requirements
Covid-19 vaccination . National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.
Frequency: 3 hours weekly/fortnightly. Available shifts: 10am-1pm or 1pm-4pm, Monday to Friday. Commitment: Minimum 6-month commitment.
