Volunteer Kitchen Hand
About this opportunity
The Cockburn Seniors Centre provides recreational, educational, health and social activities, classes, events, meals, outings and courses for people aged 50 and over.
As a volunteer Kitchen Hand you will help with the smooth running of the Cockburn Seniors Centre Cafe.
Key Tasks
- Wash and sort all dishes, cutlery, glassware, pots etc. from the kitchen using an industrial dishwashing machine
- Ensure there are clean dishes and utensils readily available for use the following working day
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness and follow food and safety standards
- Ensure appropriate Occupational Health and Safety practice at all times including documentation of incidents
- Report all work health and safety concerns to a staff member

Additional requirements
National Police Certificate *.
Positive attitude towards Seniors and a warm and friendly manner.
Attend manual handling and food safety training annually.
