Serbian Cultural Volunteer - Bacchus Marsh
About this opportunity
VMCH welcomes volunteers to engage one or one with residents for conversation, you would be providing a wonderful interlude which will enhance this resident's day.
Here at VMCH our services are as diverse as the people we support. As a for-purpose organisation, compassion, respect, and inclusion aren’t just words to us, they guide us in everything we do. While we’ve been around for over a century, we’re always moving forward. We stay true to who we are by supporting people and families to live their best lives, providing a place to call home and spaces to learn and grow.
We don’t need you to have experience we just want you to be enthusiastic and engage with residents to provide fun and entertainment. Having a chat over a cuppa or reading aloud the paper, enjoying a walk in our courtyard or sitting quietly with residents through chapel are some of the many ways to engage with this resident.
People who choose to volunteer with VMCH are. • those who love to chat – you need to be able to keep a conversation going • Able to work independently/unsupervised
You will create new special memories for yourself and for residents who benefit from your gift of time.
