About this opportunity
We are looking for some friendly faces to join us in assisting residents to and from our on site Chapel service. Share your skills with people living with dementia who are frail and elderly at our residential aged care home in Wahroonga who enjoy a chat and being served a refreshment after the service.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme is funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
HammondCare
HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people receiving care at Wahroonga.
