About the Program Elizabeth House is a vibrant hub for active older adults, offering various programs and services to enhance their well-being and social connections. As a Reception Support Volunteer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our centre runs smoothly and provides a warm welcome to everyone.

Key Tasks • Be the friendly face at our reception: Greet visitors, answer inquiries, and provide information about our services. • Support the team with administrative tasks: Assist with filing, data entry, and other essential duties. • Connect with our community: Share your knowledge and enthusiasm for the City of Onkaparinga's programs and offerings. • Contribute to a positive and safe environment: Report any incidents and actively maintain a welcoming atmosphere.

Skills/Knowledge/Personal Qualities • Communication & People Skills: Connect with visitors, explain clearly, and show empathy. • Administrative Skills: Handle office tasks like filing, data entry, and organisation. • Tech Savvy: Use computers and software confidently. • Caring & Inclusive: Respect and support older adults and diverse individuals. • Team Player: Collaborate effectively with staff and volunteers. • Reliable & Discreet: Manage time well and ensure confidentiality. • Safety-Conscious: Understand safety protocols and report incidents.

Time Commitment We offer flexible volunteer schedules, with shifts available weekdays between 9 am and 2 pm.

Special Requirements Must possess and provide a Department of Human Services (DHS) clearance (Aged Care Sector) and (NDIS Worker Check) prior to offer. This can be organised for you.

* Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be
more than 15-16 hours per week.
