**Vinnies Distribution Centre **

The Vinnies Distribution Centre sorts, prepares and delivers donated goods into Vinnies shops. This role is vital to keeping our shops well stocked, operational to generate revenue for our broad range of services supporting the community.

As a Distribution Centre Volunteer Driver, you will play a central role in the operations of the Distribution Centre, making a significant and valuable contribution to the St Vincent de Paul Society NSW.

The Volunteer Role

The Distribution Centre Volunteer will perform a variety of tasks including:

  • Provide customers (Vinnies shops & donors) with excellent service;

  • Load and unload Vinnies and donor vehicles;

  • Empty donation bins;

  • Deliveries and pick-up of donations;

  • Stock movement as required;

  • Deliveries - Drive Vinnies Vehicles;

  • General manual handling;

The volunteers we are seeking will ideally:

  • Be physically fit, with manual stock handling experience;

  • Have current and valid Drivers licence;

  • Be a people person – welcoming, encouraging and positive;

  • Be willing to work within the ethos of the St Vincent de Paul Society;

  • Be respectful of others and flexible in their attitude to work and the team;

  • Have good time management, presentation and organisational skills and use initiative to get the job done;

  • Be task orientated and efficient.

No experience needed as coaching and training is provided. We welcome those with previous experience in warehousing and logistics to share their experience with their fellow volunteers in the Distribution Centre.

Time Required

Minimum of 4 hours at least one day per week.
