Do you like being a welcoming face, meeting people and giving directions while keeping people safe?

The residents living in our modern and vibrant John Wesley Gardens Aged Care Community at Geebung are seeking warm and sincere volunteers to assist in welcoming their weekend visitors.

As a Weekend Volunteer Greeter, you will be the friendly face welcoming guests visiting their loved ones in our state-of-the-art aged care community. These visits are so important for the well-being of our residents.

Your role includes guiding families, friends and supporters through any special procedures that are in place to reduce risks to older people.

This may include assisting visitors to:

  • complete entry sign-in
  • undertake a rapid antigen test (RAT) before entering
  • wear a face mask during their time on the premises
  • guiding people and providing directions.

As a Weekend Volunteer Greeter, you will be reporting any feedback or requests through to the appropriate staff on duty. You may also be provided with other opportunities to enhance the lives of our residents through additional roles and activities to suit your interests and skills. These will be negotiated with you in advance.

Weekend Volunteer Greeters are required Saturdays and Sundays, between 10am and 2pm. Times are flexible to suit you.

This volunteer role suits people with well-developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, and a calm, caring and empathetic manner.

This role follows a COVID-19 safe work plan, and all volunteers must have received three COVID-19 vaccinations.
