**Can you spare a couple of hours every Monday and Wednesday to assist at out Memory Innovations Centre at The Entrance and Erina NSW. This opportunity is available during term 1 finishing on the 11 April 2024 **

Our Memory Innovations Centres use programs are based on current research and science. They are professionally run programs focusing on having fun, connecting with others and stimulating the brain. The programs combine science and social activity and include:

• Arts smarts – where a variety of art making materials are used to unleash your inner artist.
• Let’s get moving - exercises are designed to improve cardiovascular fitness, strength and balance in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
• Brain games – practical activities and games designed to stimulate the brain.

When and where:

• Mondays at The Entrance for 2.5 hours
• Wednesdays at Erina for 3.5 hours

What will I be doing:

• Helping with set up and packing away.
• Assisting the participants with the activities.
• Engaging with our participants through conversations

What we offer you:

• Training and regular check-ins.
• Flexibility to volunteer on a day and at a time that suits you.

What we require from our volunteers:

• Minimum commitment of a couple of hours one day per week at one of the centres.
• Ability to commit to the end term 1, 11 April 2024.
• Desire to spend time with seniors at our centres.
• Have a warm and friendly communication style and be reliable.
• Willingness to have a Criminal History Check (paid for by us).
