Volunteer Visitor - Aged Care.
About this opportunity
Our volunteer visitors are empathetic, kind and come from all walks of life; they find ways to connect and show genuine appreciation for the happiness of others. They play a vital role in the life of an older person through ongoing friendship.
There are people being referred to our service every day, and more than ever, we need kind-hearted volunteers like you to join our team.
We have seen many wonderful friendships formed through:
- Sharing stories
- Helping with a hobby, interest or activity
- Exploring the local park or shopping centre together
- Listening to music
- Playing a board game
Making a new friend can change the life of an older person experiencing loneliness and isolation. It can improve physical, mental and emotional health.
