Aged Care Visitor | Creative, well-travelled volunteer needed - Coorparoo
About this opportunity
We are looking for a someone to become a Volunteer Visitor and provide friendship to a lonely gentleman living in an Aged Care home in the Coorparoo area.
In his earlier days, our resident was an avid photographer, who travelled extensively. Visits will include looking through photos and chatting together about this interest.
Regular fortnightly visits provide the resident with valuable friendship. These visits from a Volunteer Visitor can help to improve the quality of life of the older person and help them to feel less socially isolated.
Volunteering as a Volunteer Visitor can be a very rewarding experience. By becoming a friend to an older person, you can make a positive difference to their lives as well as your own.
Additional requirements
National Police Certificate *. Others .
National Police Check – N.B. this will be arranged and paid for by ACVVS Wynnum
1-2 hours per fortnight, on a day of your choice.
