Working Bee Warriors and Transporting Titans

About this opportunity

Most of our working bees are held on Saturdays, but some on Sundays, over long weekends and public holidays. Jobs include: weeding, gardening, fencing, cleaning enclosures, meal prepping for the animals, general organising, feeding animals, tree planting, and many other manual duties - but most of all there is something for everyone with all different workloads. Most are 5-6 hours long and all within 2.5 hours (but more often 1.5 hours or less ) of Brisbane CBD. We have two start times (usually) 8:30 and 10:30 am and briefings are held within the first half an hour of each arrival. If working bees are not your thing, and you would like to transport supplies to carers, rescues and sanctuaries, you will need a current open licence and bee happy to drive the distance. Most transport runs are within 2.5 hours or so, but for those of you that enjoy a good road trip - there that are longer - especially in times of drought or natural disaster. These vital supply runs contain life saving formulas, vitamins, supplements and medicines for wildlife and companion rescues.
You can do as little or as much as you like, when it suits you. A little about us - we're a Brisbane based charity, born from a love of animals. We aim to support the people and organisations that care for sick and injured wildlife as well as homeless domestic animals by creating a community of caring that enables the provision of material aid and physical assistance through working bees, to support carers to focus more on what they do best; save lives and ease suffering. You'll be part of a committed, fun and inclusive community who are all about making a difference and supporting each other. We work hard, but we enjoy doing it. Additional requirements

Driver's Licence (C) .

Working bees are held in varying SEQ locations, usually no more than two hours' drive and carpooling is available.
Working bees require disclosure of any pre-existing medical conditions and are not suitable for anyone under 16 years of age.
