Meals on Wheels SA provides support to members of the community to live independently.
Our support enhances lifestyles through: The delivery of fabulously fresh, seasonal dishes packed full of flavour that is both nutritious and delicious to maintain health and wellbeing; offering regular social contact; and recognising, responding and building people’s capacity to meet nutritional and other needs that increase wellbeing. In providing these services through our volunteer workforce, we strengthen communities.
The skills required for this role include:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication, including listening skills
- Good computer literacy.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.
- Tech savvy.
- Confidence in dealing with customer issues with a high degree of confidentiality.
Meals On Wheels are authorised to conduct Crimtrac police checks if a current one is not held.
Additional requirements
National Police Certificate *.

* As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Voluntary Workers Personal Accident Insurance).
* Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
