About this opportunity
As a Darebin Urban Grower you will:
Participate in weekly DUG growing sessions, social events, workshops
Grow food. Propagate and plant out edible seedlings and herbs, harvest, sort, wash, bundle and label fresh food from the garden
Participate in compost making/worm farming
Assist with general maintenance of garden spaces
Identify and report any garden problems/ maintenance to site leader
Work with the Urban Farm Coordinator, site leaders and other urban food leaders and contribute to team meetings
Help with evaluation of the program by completing reviews, questionnaires etc.
Additional requirements
Covid-19 vaccination . Driver's Licence . Heavy Lifting . National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.
Skills and Qualities needed:
•Good interpersonal and communication skills.
•Ability to work well without close supervision.
