About this opportunity
The Cage Youth Foundation is a not for profit social enterprise that provides a variety of support services to Redlands' youth and families who experience hardship.
The Cage runs Ziggy's - a small coffee bar. Ziggy's is recruiting Volunteer Coffee Shop Assistants, preferably with previous hospitality experience, who are keen to be part of a growing community charity.
The Volunteer Coffee Shop Assistant duties include:
- ensuring café areas are warm and welcoming
- café set up, including turning on coffee machine and food warmer
- making tea and coffee
- customer service, including taking orders, money and using EFTPOS
- stock control
- general cleaning and tidying up.
This is an ongoing role and the organisation will provide onsite training to successful applicants.
If you are interested and are available for a shift/s from 8am to 1pm between Monday and Thursday we want to hear from you.
This is a Centrelink approved activity.
The Cage are seeking volunteers with:
- barista experience preferable
- great customer service skills and a friendly disposition.
Additional requirements
National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.
Successful volunteers will need to obtain a Blue Card and a National Police Check. The Cage will can assist with obtaining these.
8am to 1pm Monday to Thursday (one or more days)
