CareFlight Donation Tin Volunteers - Greater Sydney

Health Regular - more than 6 months Sydney NSW

About this opportunity

Founded in 1986, CareFlight is an integrated aeromedical service with a mission to save lives, speed recovery and serve the community.

Our specialist doctors, nurses, and paramedics are trained in emergency and trauma, pre-hospital, and remote medicine, delivering advanced trauma treatment and critical care to the seriously injured at the accident site. We use helicopters, turboprop and jet powered aeroplanes, and road vehicles, to reach patients wherever they are. In Greater Sydney, the Mounties Care CareFlight Rapid Response Helicopter Service, one of the world's fastest doctor-staffed rotary-wing services, brings emergency-room level care to the critically injured.

In addition to our extensive operations in New South Wales and the Northern Territory, CareFlight's crews travel internationally to bring sick and injured Australians home, and care for patients that need to be transported interstate and between hospitals for specialist treatment.

CareFlight also manages an extensive network of education programs, running accredited training for clinical specialists, conducting aviation and logistics training for our employees and external organisations, and partnering with emergency services, defense forces, community members and businesses to deliver our expertise. We also run free training workshops in regional, rural, and remote communities throughout Australia.

As part of CareFlight's fundraising efforts, we distribute donation tins to local businesses keen to support our ongoing work. We are seeking volunteers interested in assisting with this program throughout the Greater Sydney region. This role involves:

  • issuing and collecting donation tins from small and medium businesses in your local area
  • recording the location and identifying number of all donation tins you distribute
  • contributing to the growth of our donation tin program by approaching and communicating with Sydney-based businesses
  • returning donation tins to CareFlight's fundraising team

Volunteers can use a CareFlight vehicle or access fuel vouchers to facilitate their travel between businesses.

If you are interested in contributing to our life-saving work, or are keen to learn more, please contact Darian, CareFlight's NSW-based Community Engagement Officer, at [email protected] or on 0436 851 650.

We hope to see you representing CareFlight throughout Greater Sydney soon!

Please note, all volunteers will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and agree to CareFlight conducting a National Police Check. This role requires an unrestricted driver licence.
