A trusted national charity, we’re driven by the belief that Australian lives lost to suicide can be prevented. In Queensland we deliver our 24-hour 13 11 14 Lifeline Crisis Support line through 10 Lifeline centres – providing suicide prevention services with a non-judgemental and compassionate listening ear. Backed by more than 6000 volunteers, our network of 130 Lifeline retail shops sell new, donated and pre-loved goods to help fund our crisis support services. We also export to overseas communities, sell rags to industry and run our Lifeline Bookfest and other events to further support our services and help save lives.

Volunteer to change lives. Yours included. This volunteer opportunity will help to fill bags of rags which are sold to support fund our Lifline 13 11 14 crisis support and suicide prevention number to support the community.

The Townsville Lifeline Distribution Centre provides donated goods to all of the 10 retail shops in the Townsville region, these goods are then sold and all profits go towards our Lifeline 13 11 14 crisis support and suicide prevention number to support the community.

This volunteer opportunity involves cutting up donated products unsuitable for resale on a rag cutting machine. The rags are then bagged in preparation for sale.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to give back to the community and who enjoys working in a friendly team environment.

Tasks involved include: ▪️ Determine material types for cutting ▪️ Cut shirts and material into correct size ▪️ Fill bags with rags and label
