About this opportunity
Spend time with an elderly person who would like a social visitor at HammondCare Caulfield residential aged care home. Ideally you'll be fluent either Mandarin, Russian or Greek and enjoy chatting with people.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS) is an Australian Government funded initiative established to promote links between elderly people and their local community. HammondCare is an approved provider of ACVVS.

Covid-19 vaccination . National Police Certificate *. NDIS screening check .
18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare, NDIS Worker Screening Check • Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination will be required (Two doses) •
We can discuss a suitable time of the week, with a commitment of 6months or longer.
