Cygnet Meals on Wheels Volunteer Opportunities
About this opportunity
Meals on Wheels has been in operation for 70 years, we are a not-for-profit organisation that relies heavily upon dedicated volunteers to assist with the delivery of a nutritious meal while also providing social connection and a wellbeing check to our communities most vulnerable.
Meals on Wheels assists frail, older people, people with disabilities and other individuals to maintain their independence by enabling them to live in their homes and communities for as long as possible. Without the support of Meals on Wheels, many individuals may need to move to a nursing home or assisted living facility.
We are seeking volunteers to undertake multiple tasks at our office location in Cygnet as well as delivering to the surrounding areas of Cygnet 7112.
Volunteering provides a sense of purpose and fulfillment, extends social connections, provides an opportunity to develop skills and communication and is a valuable addition to a resume. Volunteering positively impacts upon mental & physical health, and makes a meaningful difference within your community.
