About this opportunity

The Royal Life Saving Society Queensland (RLSSQ) is recruiting volunteers who care about educating the community about water safety.

Can you assist with the delivery of water safety education to children and adults across a wide range of community focused programs?

Volunteers will assist with teaching survival skills in the water AND/OR assist with teaching water safety education theory in a classroom.

Successful volunteers will need to:

  • have water safety knowledge and education
  • be comfortable working with small and large groups of adults and children
  • be confident in demonstration of and instruction in water safety and first aid skills.

Volunteers should also be well presented, have good organisational skills and be able to adapt to change.


Additional requirements

Working with Children Check *.

* Preferably Swim Teacher, Bronze Medallion or Pool Lifeguard qualifications
* CPR and First Aid
* Blue Card (RLSSQ can assist with this)
* Over 18

* May be arranged via the Organisation. Details to be provided on expression of interest.
