About this opportunity
About Us Circle Paints opened its doors in February 2023. We now have thousands of litres of interior and exterior paints in stock, and we're building a loyal following in the mural painting and No Waste networks of Sydney.
What this role involves We need help opening donated tins and tubs of paint, checking for lumps and measuring the contents, then creating a fresh label so we know which colour, type, and quantity of paint is inside.
An optional next step is to add the tin or tub to our online catalogue.
Who would this role suit? This role would suit anyone who:
has some knowledge of paint (interior vs exterior, enamel vs ordinary, and sheen levels) or willingness to learn about paint
has a strong back and is comfortable lifting weights of up to 13 kilos
is available during the daytime, either on weekdays or on Saturdays
doesn't mind getting some paint on their hands.
What we provide Training, good company, and snacks ;) We also supply overalls, shirts, jumpers and boots so you don't get your clothes painty.
Additional requirements
Heavy Lifting .
We are flexible about how much time volunteers provide. A minimum is a one-off session of 3 hours, or 4 hours over more than one session. We especially love regular volunteers because they quickly know enough to do the job really well.
