About this opportunity
You will play a crucial role in assisting with the organisation and management of donations for our homeless hub. Your efforts will directly contribute to ensuring that the essential needs of individuals experiencing homelessness are met by efficiently coordinating and distributing donated items. By utilising your organisational skills, attention to detail, and compassion, you will help create a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
What you'll do:
Manage and streamline donation logistics, from coordinating drop-off points to tracking inventory Engage with generous donors, expressing gratitude and fostering lasting relationships Collaborate with our dedicated team to identify priority needs and allocate donations accordingly Innovate and implement creative strategies to expand our donation network and reach more people in need Experience the fulfillment of witnessing the direct impact of your efforts on the lives of those we serve
Additional requirements
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compassionate and empathetic approach towards individuals experiencing homelessness
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift and carry moderate-weight items as required during donation sorting and distribution
2 -3 hours per week/fortnight/monthly
