Volunteer Visitor - Friends for older people - Bellevue Heights

About this opportunity

What do you need to become a visitor?

• Empathy, kindness, ability to chat about anything and willing to listen.
• Maturity 18+
• National Police Clearance (COTA SA can assist you to obtain this if you don’t have one.)

We match you with an older person based on shared interests and location and then support you to create a friendship through regular visits. For all further questions please contact: CVS coordinator on 8232 0422. Further information and online applications can be found on the COTA SA website.

*It’s important that organisations continue to monitor and follow the advice and guidelines of both State or Territory, and Federal Governments in relation to the latest COVID-19 requirements.
*As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Voluntary Workers Personal Accident Insurance).
*Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
