Heritage Education Program Assistant
About this opportunity
The role includes helping run basic heritage activities with school aged children such as sewing, cooking damper, old fashioned washing, and a school lesson in the Old Wanneroo School House. We will provide training to you.
The Heritage Education Program volunteer will be required on either a Tuesday or Thursday morning for a shift from 8:30am-12:30pm. We would prefer volunteers who are able to support on a regular basis such as one shift per week or fortnight. This role requires an interest in teaching children about local history, excellent customer service and confidence interacting with visitors
Both a National Volunteer Police Check and Working with Children Check will be required for this role, however this will be organised and costs reimbursed.

• A passion and interest in heritage education
• An interest in teaching school aged children about local history
• Excellent customer service, a friendly manner and the confidence to interact with visitors
• Ability to commit to volunteer work on a regular basis
