Walking companions in Residential Aged care, Cardiff
About this opportunity
Enjoy the great outdoors and spend time in the sunshine as you stroll around our Aged Care Home Gardens at Cardiff, walking alongside elderly residents living with dementia. You'll be helping people to maintain their mobility as well as their healthy wellbeing.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the residents you are matched with.
The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme is funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
HammondCare
HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need.
