About this opportunity
The RSPCA NSW provides Healthy Pet Days, with the assistance of local councils, TAFE NSW, Vet Beyond Borders, Petbarn Foundation, GreenX and more.
We’re looking for dedicated volunteers to help members of public in support of our Community Outreach team which provides discounted desexing and vaccinations to people that hold either a pension card, health care card or concession cards.
As a veterinarian/ graduate vet volunteer, you will be the face of a program that makes an incredible difference to the lives of animals within the local communities, and owners that are unable to afford these services. Experienced volunteers with a vet nursing or vet background are highly desirable. You will be travelling with our Outreach team from our Sydney Yagoona shelter and depending on locations, this may require you to stay overnight.
What this volunteer role looks like:
Giving health advice, performing health checks, vaccinations, parasite prevention and or microchipping
Provide further support to the Outreach team
Comply with all Work Health and Safety (WHS) guidelines
Understand and comply with RSPCA NSW policies and procedures, including the Confidentiality Agreement

Our team will provide you with ample notice of when the events will be held. Healthy Pet Days are usually 4-6 hours, once a month or more.
